Opel Classics GT Te Koop

Hi,

Droevig spreek ik het geen Nederlands. Ik leef in het UK (1 uur van de Haven van Hull) en een bestuurder van GT meer dan 15 jaar geweest.

Het is een zeer droevige dag aangezien ik mijn GT moet verkopen. Dit is één van zeer best en eerder bezeten door de Directeur van Opel Motorsport.

It's no problem to post message's in (plain) English here.
Lot of members are able to read or write in it.
And if not, others will translate it for the persons who don't.
Using Babelfish or such mostly gives a strange translation.

But thats a nice Opel GT indeed. I hope you will find a good buyer who will take care of it.
Lots of succes with selling it. It's not always easy to say goodbye to something that has been a part of your life.

It really is sad to be selling the GT as I have been involved in the Opel GT scene for the last 25yrs, I've visited a few Euro meetings, and know many European GT owners and recognise names on here from the Opelgt.com forum.

As a little boy living near Venlo, back in 1973, i spent my days sitting in the back of a GT/J, so they really have been a big part of my life. Sadly a young family means that we can't all enjoy the car and so i am saying 'bye' for a few years

I always wanted to buy the best Opel GT, but could never afford a Conrero/Steinmetz, so buying this Opel Classics GT with such history was the next best.

I was very lucky to meet the owner, Director of Opel Motorsport - Tony Fall, a few years ago at a celebration of his 40yrs involvment in Opel Motorsport and it was wonderful to hear how my car was born, here is a picture from the celebration event.

Sad to see you're selling your GT, but no good thing ever lasts sadly. Memories do luckily. By the way, you were saying you lived near Venlo (as do a lot of our forum members, including me). Your family moved abroad when you were young? Just a tad bit curious on my behalve how one gets to fall in love and move around with such dreams at times.

Good luck selling the car and perhaps in a few years time you'll be back with one.

As a young.......very young boy (3yrs old) my father was stationed in Germany (73-77) and we used to vist the TrefCentre Venlo for shopping, it was a weekly treat:).

Leaving was really sad for us, but my parents (my father is still a GT driver) now live in Gutersloh and so we still stop at the TrefCentre several times a year for a break in the journey and to buy Chocomel and Fristi (for the children), plus beef goulash soup from the restaurant
